Our Children’s Corner-River Preschool recently transformed into a festive pumpkin patch, with each class picking a pumpkin and enjoying a full day of pumpkin-themed learning and fun. On Nov. 5, students explored math, science, art, and literacy through activities like number line hopscotch, measuring pumpkins with cubes, observing pumpkin seeds and stems, painting and decorating pumpkins, and reading Spookley the Square Pumpkin. They also practiced counting, creating, and using their senses to investigate pumpkins. The day encouraged curiosity, collaboration, and creativity, giving students a memorable hands-on learning experience while celebrating the fall season.
