First Day of School!

Posted Date: 09/01/25 (06:17 PM)

We are ready and excited to welcome everyone tomorrow morning at 8:30 for our first day of school!

Here are a few things to make sure tomorrow goes well:

First Day Drop-off:

Tomorrow is the only day that families can walk their children to their classrooms. This should be a "kiss and drop". The teachers will be busy starting the school day. Please ask questions at the main office. Remember, "Quick good-byes make for drier eyes".

Starting Wednesday, September 3, children will be dropped off at their assigned doors.

Students who ride the bus: Please ensure they have their backpack tag visible on their backpacks. This will help us take them to their classrooms. If you did not receive a backpack tag at the Open House on Thursday, please include a note in their backpack with their first name and room number. Many students are too shy to introduce themselves by name on the first day. We want to make sure we know where your child goes when they get off the bus.

Parent Drop-off and Pick-up: All cars must park in a marked parking space or along the side of the road. Follow the posted traffic rules. Do not block the front of the buildings or the bus lanes. If you are walking your child to class on the first day, but they will take the bus home, please tell your child's teacher.

First Day Pick-up:

MAKE SURE TO BRING YOUR IDENTIFICATION tomorrow!

All visitors entering our building or picking up a child must present a photo ID. They must also be registered in our Genesis Portal. If the person picking up the child does not have identification, your child will not be allowed to leave until our safety officers can verify their identity and pick-up permissions.

Bus Students: Please be patient. Buses are often late on the first day of school. This is because we are helping the students learn how to leave school. If the buses are very late in the afternoon, I will send a text message through Parent Square. Please, be ready for delays.

Please inform your child's teacher about any changes to your child's transportation arrangements. We need ALL changes to how your child goes home to be made by 12:00 pm. This gives teachers time to check their messages and emails. Teachers are busy teaching and cannot answer phones or emails during class time.

You can contact the main office at any time for assistance.

We are excited to see you and hope you have a wonderful FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!
